About Us
I believe living life in balance is the key to total wellness. Wellness begins with the awareness that the balance is dynamic, flowing in a natural rhythm unique to every individual. At Blooming Moon we encourage every guest, as well as the spa professional, to strive for balance and wellness. My goal is to create an atmosphere where spa professionals and guests can be nurtured simultaneously. Therefore, our guests always receive quality spa services and undivided attention, which often will not be found in regular spas. I believe energy runs through and connects us to each other, especially through touch. When you experience a treatment with someone who is entirely present and has the intention to calm your mind, lift your spirits, or provide pampering bliss, the act effortlessly prevails! We strive to bring this type of connection to every guest visiting Blooming Moon. So, with much love, I deliver you Blooming Moon Wellness Spa & Bathhouse.
Warmly, Ginny

Ginny Tousignant, Owner/Esthetician
My passion for skin care began with makeup artistry. I dabbled in photography makeup, mostly for bands, independent films and other small projects. In 2003 I realized I needed my esthetician’s license to do makeup on major films. I quickly signed up for the AVEDA institute in New Mexico and this is when my passion and talent for skin care and waxing really began. After moving to Portland in 2005, I fell in love with this sweet city and I knew Portland was my home. Therefore, creating a spa business doing exactly what I love, in my favorite city, was music to my ears! I have a quick and painless approach to waxing, therefore I can speed wax like nobody’s business. I love the art of brow waxing and I can deliver nearly pain-free Brazilian waxes. I have a whole body approach to skin care. It began with studying and practicing holistic, ayurvedic esthetics. I have experience with all skin types and would love the opportunity to guide you on your journey to gorgeous skin. My approach to beautiful, radiant skin is to be both, mentally and physically healthy. My objective is to achieve and maintain a state of whole body wellness for my clientele. Through preventative facials, which include acupressure, massage, and high quality skin care products, I am able to treat mild skin conditions before they develop into more serious health problems, while relaxing your mind and body.
Brooke Maurer, Esthetician + Nail Technician
After receiving a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Indiana University, I worked in the customer service field for ten years. Eventually I was drawn to the vast beauty of the Pacific Northwest and relocated to Portland. I came to Blooming Moon with a full cosmetology license, a graduate of Aveda Institute Portland. I’ve always held a strong interest in the beauty industry. My skin care treatments, body waxing, and natural nail treatments are tailor-fitted just for you! Blooming Moon guests often comment on my gentle, caring nature. I value a holistic approach to wellness, which is why I sought out Blooming Moon. I am committed to creating an all-natural experience with pedicures and manicures. Blooming Moon only selects products that are not tested on animals- I love animals, so this is a must for me! When not at Blooming Moon I enjoy vintage shopping, practicing yoga, and enjoying the phenomenal Portland foodie scene.
Kimmy Hale LMT
Licensed in Oregon since March 2006, I love showing people that they can have relief from long-lasting pain and posture problems that they thought were “just how my body is.” Using myofascial methods combined with classic Swedish Massage and Sports Massage techniques, clients dealing with stress, post-surgical and injury related issues and postural deviations have received amazing results from my work. I am also experienced in migraine treatment, scar tissue work, and treating those with chronic pain issues. I believe that reducing overall stress, both emotional and mechanical, is one of the most important aspects of massage, and a necessary part of treating the mind-body-spirit as a whole. During my career I have been blessed with the chance to work with many wonderful clients, teachers, and healers who have enriched my work. I feel that massage is a true Calling for me.
Julie Flesner, Makeup Artist
A few days after moving to Portland in 2009, I landed at Funnelbox Production Studios where I continue to serve as the makeup artist/wardrobe stylist on various commercials. It seems as though my specialization is in “first impressions”– I also design custom resumes for people all over the country.
For me, reading the book Not Just a Pretty Face by Stacy Malkan was life changing in the way I shop for cosmetics and products. I stand behind Ginny’s commitment to carrying innovative cosmetic + skincare lines like Alima Pure– products that are local, cruelty-free, and dedicated to protecting our environment and our health.
Sara Borisoff, Esthetician + Natural Nail Technician
As a native Portlander, I developed an affinity for beauty at a very young age. After pursuing my esthetician license at AVEDA Institute of Portland, I landed at Blooming Moon Spa because I was connected to the calming, down-to-earth atmosphere as well as the animal-friendly product lines they offer the community, especially as an animal advocate! In my spare time, I volunteer at various, local no-kill animal shelters, enjoy cooking and movies. I strive to deliver a beautiful, relaxing treatment to every guest, from a pedicure to a wax service. I have mastered the art of both Gelish and natural nail mani/pedi treatments and I am exceptional in makeup application. I love to bring out my client’s natural beauty. Whether it’s a casual daytime look, or creating dramatic eyes for a night out on the town– I do it all!
Susannah Skye LMT
I have been fascinated by the human experience and how it is expressed in the body for as long as I can remember. I received a college degree in human communications and when I started massage school in 2002, everything came together for me. I love not only the service aspect of being a massage therapist, but the engaged and connected help I can provide with my accumulated knowledge, wisdom and skill. My focus has remained consistent over the years, always asking: “How can I help someone have a pain-free and more vital existence in their body?” I evaluate the needs of both a person and their body, favoring methods that are direct and proven- then apply them in the best way for them to be received. I pride myself on always having the ingenuity to find a new approach when needed, allowing each client to receive their best massage possible.
